Am I a battery operated robot?

They tell me that I am a Chilupa, but I still don’t know what that is. I just got back from a walk and when I stopped to say hi to a guy he said: “Are you for real? Where does the battery go?”. I haven’t figured out where my battery goes and so far no one had to recharge it, which makes me think that I am made of bones and skin. So, if I am not a battery operated robot, what am I?

Am I a Flower?

flower.jpg

They tell me that I am a Chilupa, but I still don’t know what that is. The other day I walked really close up to a flower and saw how the petals are growing out of it’s head just like my ears. Could it be that I am a flower, and if so which one? Then again, flowers have roots and remain in the same place for the duration of their life while I like to run around. So what am I?

Car Ride

I usually get to go out on car rides with my owner. I prefer to sit on her lap while she drives, but she said that it isn’t safe, so I have to go on the back seat and ride there. But when we’re parked or have to wait for someone, I hang out on the dashboard to get a better view of things. The good thing is that the dashboard is Chilupa sized for extra comfort.

Last weekend I got to hang out at the beach of Hood Canal. Sometimes it’s nice to get away from the city. And who needs fire hydrants if you have logs.

My Inner Glow

They tell me that I am a Chilupa and I am still trying to figure out what that is! Sometimes at night when I am tired, my inner glow can be seen through my eyes. Am I an alien?

Community Service

The City of Seattle has recently planted a bunch of new trees in our neighborhood to make it look all pretty and to give us dogs more trees to chose from. Personally, I think that’s really great of them.

Each tree has one of those plastic coats on with the writng: “Fill Bag with Water Once a Week”. I figured I’d help them out a bit by watering them myself on my daily walks.

I got a new rain coat

raincoat.jpg

Let’s face it - I am a Mexican dog and NOT bread for the rain. So, every time my owners take me out on a walk and I see the rain, I immediately pull back and don’t want to go outside. They make me go anyways - I HATE IT!

Fortunately, the doggie clothing industry picked up on the fact that certain dogs don’t like to get wet fur and designed this rain coat. Hey, my owner wears a rain coat, too when it’s wet outside.

I haven’t actually tried it yet and will report with more info once I get to usability test it in the rain!

The Missing Link

Missing_Link.jpg

When I was on vacation my hosts added a special powder to my food called “The Missing Link”. Turns out that it consists mainly of flax seeds which is very high on Omega 3 fatty acids. Ever since I’ve been eating that stuff, my coat is all shiny and smooth. I think I look so much more sophisticated now and told my owner continuing giving me that supplement.

Mountain Goat Training

Mountaingoat.jpg

They tell me that I am a Chilupa but now my owner thought that it was a good idea to put me through mountain goat training while I am still young and agile. I think I am doing pretty good for a Chilupa but need a bit more practice until I can go on a trip to the Swiss Alps. I don’t think I am a mountain goat… so what am I?
