The weather is getting nice outside and I am discovering new parts of my neighborhood every day. Today I hung out at a dock looking at the lake. I think water is pretty cool - as a concept - from a distance. So, don’t even think about getting my paws or my fur wet if you want to be my friend!
I am not complaining, that cat is pretty okay to hang out with, but every time I want to play with her, she just hisses back at me and forces me into my corner of the couch. Okay, okay… I shouldn’t have confused that tail of hers for a chew toy… but it was just so tempting when she waved that fluffy thing in front of my nose. Wouldn’t you have played with it, too?
I heard: Curiosity killed the cat. Thank god that I am a Chilupa! I discover new things all the time and man am I interested in learning! When I don’t know what something is, I slowly approach it with my nose to get a good whiff of it before I get any closer. Only after I take a careful smell ID will I lick new things with my tounge.
One of my favorite things is to hang out on the couch and watch my people and that cat. She is lazy just like me, could it be that I am related to her?
They told me that I am a Chilupa but I don’t really know what that is! The other day I went for a leisurely evening walk down to the lake and saw a bat hanging out in a tree… it had ears just like me, but I don’t have wings and I can’t fly… so what am I?
