It’s October and my owners aren’t turning on the heat yet despite the fact that I am shivering in the ice cold apartment, so I went shopping at Raileys today and found myself a nice hoodie to wear around the house. Orange is so October!
This is me at my design studio in Pioneer Square, taking a quick break from designing my first line of Chilupa clothes. Who would have thought that I’d develop such a taste for designer clothes.
It’s starting to get cold outside, but all the coats they sell in the store are so cheesy that I simply refuse to wear them. I mean come on, pink fur with diamonds? I am definitely more classy than that!
To accommodate my heightened Chilupa taste standards, I took my owner to a fabric store where I picked out some materials that I don’t mind wearing. Of course the inside is lined with fleece for warmth and comfort! I think my owner did a pretty decent job designing my first coat. Next: camoflage - yeah baby!
I have recently learned how to escape from my collar. My owner didn’t really mind when I practiced my Houdini skills at home, but today I decided to take it public and slipped out of my collar in the middle of the street. She got pretty mad at me!
To prevent me from escaping again in the future, my owner bought me this awesome looking blue harness from a New Zealand based pet fashion company called Puppia. The greatest thing about it is that it’s blue and people finally stoppped saying: “what’s HER name?”. Just because I am small doesn’t mean I am a girl… I mean, hello!

I might be a small Chilupa, but I can still appreciate fashion for big dogs.

Let’s face it - I am a Mexican dog and NOT bread for the rain. So, every time my owners take me out on a walk and I see the rain, I immediately pull back and don’t want to go outside. They make me go anyways - I HATE IT!
Fortunately, the doggie clothing industry picked up on the fact that certain dogs don’t like to get wet fur and designed this rain coat. Hey, my owner wears a rain coat, too when it’s wet outside.
I haven’t actually tried it yet and will report with more info once I get to usability test it in the rain!

I get cold very easily and that in June, so it’s needless to say that I am not looking forward to December! But fear not, the internets has never failed and as expected, there is someone out there who designed snow coats. I can’t wait to talk my owner into buying me one.
