My buddy Boone needs a new home

Ginger Luke from Ginger’s Pet Rescue goes down to Southern California every few weeks to pick up a few dogs from a very high kill shelter. This little guy reminds me so much of myself that I am going to make it a personal mission to find him a new place.

If you’re thinking about getting a dog, here’s a great opportunity! Boone is a deer style Chihuahua just like me. Deer style is the way all Chihuahuas looked in Mexico, until breeders here in the US changed them to a more round head shape. Deer type Chihuahuas are a bit taller with a nice and slim body type, way around 8-10 lbs.

In his own words:

“My name is Boone and I am a 2 yr old Chihauhua and I weigh only 8 lbs I am up to date with all my shots including rabies, neutered and am microchipped. I get along great with other dogs, kids, cats and people of all ages. I am not a barker and I am a very good boy. I am playful, fun and entertaining! I am looking for a family that will love me and take care of me. I come from a very high kill shetler and was just transported up here to Seattle.”

An application is required to meet me! Adoption Fee: $ 425.00

I recently received a photo of me and a few of the other dogs that Ginger rescued from California back in March. She picked us up one day before we were supposed to get euthanized - thanks Ginger!!! I am the one in the upper right corner. Once I was in that kennel and on the truck I just knew that things would work out for me.

If you’re interested in adpoting a dog or being a foster parent for one of the new arrivals, please contact Ginger at: gingerluke@comcast.net

Chili is one of the dogs that got rescued from the same kennel in California that I am from. We both were saved by Ginger just one day before we were supposed to die… and oh boy, do we feel alive! My owner tells me that I am the best-est dog EVER and I make her very happy. I can say the same thing about Chili - he is super fab! If you or anyone you know is looking for a new addition the family, I think you should email Ginger at: gingerluke@comcast.net

In his own words:

My name is Chili and I am a 2 1/2 yr old Purebred Chihuahua. I am housebroken, have all my shots, am neutered and ready to move into my new home with you!!! I am a happy and a great loyal dog to have around. I am calm and I would make a wonderful and excellent lap dog. My foster mom says I am the best dog she has ever had. I get along great with cats, dogs, kids and people of all ages. I am sweet and I love people so much. I weigh only 10 lbs and was rescued out of a very high kill shelter down in California. I am now up here in Washington State and waiting for my forever home to come get me!!! I can’t wait to meet you and be your forever friend. Please email Ginger and let’s meet soon! A bit about Ginger’s Pet Rescue

I am once again at the computer, working the internets when I get an email from Ginger, the woman who rescued me from an animal shelter in California back in March. I was just days from getting euthanized and only skin and bones because they chose not to waste their food budget on animals that are on death row (yes that was me two month ago!).

Ginger told me that they bring back little dogs like me every 6 weeks from California to find them new homes up here in the Pacific NW, unfortunately that’s not enough… they put down 50 dogs every 2 days.
